Speleotherapy
- rehabilitation without medicine and the treatment of lung diseases
based on the use of microclimate of underground objects (hydrochloric mines(shafts) and
naturally formed caves). In Ukraine the development of speleotherapy began in 1968 by
opening the Transcarpathian regional allergic hospital, and in 1976 the
Ukrainian allergic hospital was opened, which is the greatest in the world
today. It is a specialized establishment, where
overall diagnostics and treatments of the patients with bronchial asthma
and other chronic nonspecific lung diseases are held.
Ukrainian allergic hospital is situated at the foothills of the
Ukrainian Carpathians in the valley of the Tysa river. The climate is mild.
